Palm Pre 入手

我大概七點40左右到, 前面有10個人在排隊
晚點再來Po開箱文, 先補眠一下... Orz

真不好意思, 後來還去了費城兩日遊, 一直到現在才有空來拍照.....












這次付的充電器是與usb線分開, 本來有買touchstone, 後來看到一些評論發現功能與價錢不成比例, 就先把它退掉了.


本以為這次Palm終於使用了標準mini-usb線, 就隨手拿了條舊的來插, 結果插不進去. 後來看了付送的線發現那個小頭比較扁一點長一點.

WebOS方面


一開始進去手機後的畫面, 下面default的快捷鍵.


點了最上面的時間後, 會出現手機的一些基本訊息, 電池資訊, 還可以直接開啟飛航模式.


手勢從Central Button畫一條直線上來, 會開啟Launcher, 這是一開始的畫面, 前面九個都是內建的程式, 操作跟iphone幾乎一模一樣, 也是可以分頁, 按著不放大概兩秒之後可以把icon移動到你想要的地方.


在App Store裡面的一些程式. 操作方法也是跟iphone大同小異, 直接從手機連進App Store點選下載, 手機就會自動安裝完畢.


通訊錄中文顯示無誤, 不過無法搜尋, 因為還沒辦法輸入中文.


瀏覽器中文顯示無誤. (日文韓文也都沒問題)


不過放大後會發現字體粗細不一, 不知道是什麼原因, 希望會有更新改進, 不然我是會為了這個而去把手機退掉的那種人.


在Email程式裡, 標題出現了中文亂碼, 可是內容無誤.


字體的問題在Email裡面還是會發生, 不過沒有發現掉字的情形.


手機連線到電腦後, 會出現三個選項.
1. Media Sync, 在這個模式下開啟iTunes, 會把Pre當做iPod, 可以直接把音樂電影全部同步進去
2. USB Drive, 上面就是資料夾的截圖, 可以直接把檔案拖曳進去, 當成桌布, 鈴聲....etc.
3. Just Charge, 什麼都不做就只是充電.
另外在1跟2這兩個模式下, Pre無法接收來電或是訊息.

初次使用Pre的時候, 系統會讓你建立一個專屬的Palm Profile, 它可以讓你備份(不是同步)Pre裡面的資料, 像是通訊錄, 記錄所安裝過的軟體. 但是像是自己拍的照片, 或是行事曆還有郵件就不會備份起來了. 另外還有提供一個"Remote Erase"的功能, 基本上按了你的手機就會自動重開機, 開機完後會回復到最原始的狀態.

因為本身是使用Mac, 所以只能以Mac的角度來說資料轉移的部份, 但是我猜想Windows的部份也是大同小異. Palm有提供一個叫做Data Transfer Assistant的軟體, 提供Mac使用者把iCal和Address Book的資料做單一轉移, 它不是同步軟體, 也不能從Pre在把資料轉回Mac. 以下擷取一些軟體說明資訊.....

The Data Transfer Assistant (DTA) is a simple software program that helps you transfer important data from your Mac's Address Book and iCal applications to your Palm® Pre™ phone.

Note: The DTA cannot transfer data from Palm® Desktop software on the Mac.
因為我在Mac上完全沒裝Palm Desktop, 只有用Missing Sync來同步手機資料, 所以這方面對我來說沒有影響. 只是像是簡訊, 通話記錄方面就不知道怎麼弄到Pre裡面了, 我想應該要等Missing Sync for Pre釋出了之後就可以同步所有的資料了.

The DTA can transfer your basic PIM (personal information management) data: contacts, calendar events, and tasks.
The DTA is not synchronization software. Rather, the DTA performs a one-way transfer of your important data from desktop applications to your phone.
The DTA does not transfer data from another phone or handheld. Your data must be in Address Book and iCal to be found and transferred by the DTA.
You can use the DTA more than once to do one-way data transfers to the same phone. Doing multiple transfers, however, may cause duplicate data to show up on your phone.

Applications that work on your old Palm OS® by ACCESS device (they have a PRC or PDB file extension) do not work on your new Pre phone. Check the App Catalog on your phone to see if there is a version of the application that runs on Palm's new webOS™ platform.

成功轉移資料後, 你可以設定你的Google account或是Exchange account跟Pre同步通訊錄跟行事曆, 完全不需要用到電腦.
After your data is transferred to your phone, you can set up a sync relationship between that data and one of the sync services offered (for example, the calendar and contacts list of your Google email account). You can also choose to have the data stored on your phone and backed up (not synchronized) to your Palm profile.

來說一些WebOS的缺點...

通訊錄目前完全不能分群組, 搜尋的時候也只能搜尋姓名, 完全無法找其它的欄位.
行事曆可以分群組, 不過要先在Google上設定好不同的Calendar, Pre會自動同步到機子裡. 新增事項的時候可以選不同的Calendar分組.
另外Memo跟Task沒辦法設定跟Google or Exchage同步, 也沒辦法備份在Palm Profile裡.

回答上面的問題, 待機的時候無線網路(I meant WiFi)會切斷, 等你解鎖後進去會自動連上.

玩到現在發現螢幕下方右邊大部分的時候會出現一兩個小黃色區塊(波紋?), 不知道是什麼問題, 雖然新的gestures, notifications, 跟multitasking很方便, 不過感覺還沒完全成熟, OS裡面可以設定的選項少到可憐. Sprint綁約價錢最低一個月要69.99未稅, 已經跟AT&T iphone差不多了, 所以我想可能會在30天內把它退掉, 繼續用我的Centro, 等之後系統成熟一點在看看好了.
